Yes, right, the weather is not the best at the moment - but we have the sun in the heart and lucky you get wet while diving anyway ;-)
And our weatherproof and faithfull divers got rewarded - today at the Canyon: Neptun made the water crystal clear and on top he sent a whaleshark!!! Yippie - we're singing in the rain...!!! |

Ban of all shark fishing within 12 mile radius from the outer atoll rim of Maldivian atolls
Shark species have slow growth, late maturity and low fecundity resulting in wide generation gaps and low regeneration rates in the population. These factors render sharks vulnerable to over-exploitation.
Research has shown that there is a threat to shark populations in the Maldives due to their exploitation by the fishery thus having negative impacts on the two main sectors of the Maldivian economy, fisheries and tourism.
Hence under the clause 10 of the law number 5/87 (Maldivian Fisheries Law) the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture has declared a ban effective from 01st of March 2009, on any fishery targeted at killing, capturing or extraction of any shark species inside and within 12 miles from the outer atoll rim of all Maldivian Atolls.

| We all know that Embudu Express is a special dive site and always good for a surprise. But something like this is even not common for us... Down there we already enjoyed some big grey reefsharks, eagle rays and tunas... but we really closed ranks when a 4m tigershark showed up... First he passed by very slowly, even went up to around 15m just to disappear like a shot... |

| From roof to floor... we finally finished the renovation, but it was definitely worth it! Don´t worry, there are no dramatically changes, but we are happy with the new roof on the dive school building and also the new renovations in the equipment room (wet room). Also the school room glooms in new splendour thanks to new furniture and of course, as before, the room is equiped with the latest technical equipment. |

Manuel takes a "Diverland-break" and went travelling again! We want to thank Manuel for his support and hope he will have lots of holiday adventures!
