Manuel takes a "Diverland-break" and went travelling again! We want to thank Manuel for his support and hope he will have lots of holiday adventures!
And a big welcome to Arjan to our team! As an experienced diving instructor he brings a dutch feel to our team and we look forward to working with him! |

Small but nice, that's our new wreck on Embudus house reef.
Last week we sank another dhoni in the coral garden and so we have yet another attraction for our divers but also a great hiding place for the fishes. |

We already suspected the dive to be a good one, as the conditions of weather and current were perfect for a channel dive.
So let's go to Embudu Channel... And what appeared there in front of the divers masks, you can hardly write on one page of your logbook... Great were the whitetip reefsharks, Napoleon and sting rays. It turned to be gigantic when 30 eagle rays in formation floated along, followed by a whale shark... |

So it happened again - again we found a fishing net in the water. But luckily there was again a happy end, as the small frogfish survived the net and we were able to abandon him at our house reef. |

What a wonderful moonlit night - you have to enjoy that to the full; so quick we made a campfire, brought some music and drinks to the beach and "chilled out"... Jason entertained us with his "firedance show" so once again it was a great and successful beachparty. |

Sibylle und Toni Fässler Waber have sent us this picture.
The picture was made with a simple digital camera in a small housing - without any dome port or similar. |

| A full day trip to the Manta Point in the North Male Atoll (Lankan Caves) is always worth a trip. But of course it is an even more special adventure if we not only see numerous Manta Rays but also a Whale Shark. We've been the lucky ones once again and were able to watch the "big one" close-by. For 45 minutes he stayed and circled our boat. |

Jason joins our team as diving instructor and guide. As Canadian and multitalented he speaks not only English and French but also German. He is addicted to diving and Kinder Chocolate and looks forward to meeting you all soon. |

| After 1 year joining our team on Embudu we have to say goodbye to Fred. But he will stay in our "Diverland family" and so he will set up Diverland Mauritius in his home town Flic en Flac in Mauritius, starting in August. We look very much forward to our ongoing cooperation with him. Fred also succesfully completed the NAUI Cross Over Course (see also SIV news) and will of course offer also NAUI training in Mauritius. |
