Stefan and the Whalesharks
... by the way - Stefan has still not seen a whaleshark... ;-)

Stefan and the Whalesharks
Once upon a time, there was Stefan, base leader on the Maldives and he dreamt of seeing a whaleshark... Like this the story could begin - but ok, we stop that... Otherwise Steff is really going to loose his mind - the luck is not really with him this week - but with all our divers - 2 whalesharks in this week is not too bad, isn't it??... Only Stefan, he just has not been on the trip...

Boduhithi Thilla - a unforgettable dive!
Non of our divers will ever forget todays dive on Boduhithi Thilla.
The Mantas got company from a "giant of the seas"; a aprox. 7m long Whaleshark joined our group and let our hearts beat faster.
On the return trip to the island a group of Dolphins accompanied the boat, which completed our adventure....

What a pitty, that Stefan was not among us ;-)))

Manta season - opening!
In the last weeks already more and more Mantas showed up on some of our dive spots.
Now it's clear - the season is opened!
At Boduhithi Thilla and Boduhithi Corner we can observe them feeding and around the cleaning station.

Booking problems?
We would like to point out once again, that the hotel as well as the diving school are fully functional and are operating normally. We are happy, that many guests want to spend their holiday on our island more than ever. Unfortunately we hear, that there are again and again problems with the bookings or that there are even complete cancellations by the tour operators (due to flight cancellations). If you should also have any problems like this please tell us about it, so we can help you with changes of the booking. You can contact us directly and write to info@diverland.com or use the contact form on our website.

Courses on the house reef and boat trips.
The diving conditions are absolutely normal

Male' time 07.30 "a quiet night"
After a quiet night , it looks like the sea has calmed down.
But before restarting any watesport activities we wait for the all-clear of Ministry of Tourism.

We keep busy cleaning up the diving school and the compressors, that took some water.

The hotel has no major damages, cleaning works and repairs on the jetty are still going on.
The hotel is fully operational.
