DIVING IN THE MALDIVES
Our Mission
Since 1986, Diverland Maldives has been a fixture in the Maldives' atolls and a perfect destination for divers seeking exceptional underwater experiences. Our dive guides, boat captains, and shore crew have largely been with Diverland Maldives for many years. Their extensive experience in diving in this part of the Indian Ocean is appreciated by both our regular guests and new Diverland divers, including their safety.
No less important to us is our commitment to protecting the oceans and preserving marine habitats.
With environmentally friendly measures and programs, we contribute to the sustainable development of diving tourism in order to preserve the beauty of the Maldives for future generations.

Diverland Update
Dear Diverland friends, dear guests, dear long-time companions,
with great joy and also a little pride we had been preparing to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Diverland together with you on April 15th. Four decades filled with unforgettable dives, friendships, shared adventures and unique moments both above and below the surface – this anniversary means a great deal to all of us.
It is therefore with sincere regret that we must inform you that we have decided to postpone the planned celebrations due to the current geopolitical situation and the tense developments in the Middle East. The recent events have understandably created uncertainty for many of our guests regarding travel. As always, the safety, well-being and peace of mind of our guests and team members remain our highest priority.
After careful consideration, we have come to the conclusion that this is not the right time to celebrate such an important milestone in the way it truly deserves. An anniversary like this should be marked by ease, enthusiasm and shared happiness – exactly the spirit that Diverland has stood for over the past 40 years. We would like to ensure that as many of you as possible can join us and that the celebration can take place in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
For this reason, we will postpone our 40-year anniversary celebration to the autumn. The exact date will be announced in the coming weeks once the revised planning has been completed. We are already working on preparing a special and worthy program that reflects the unique history we have built together.
This anniversary is not only a milestone for Diverland – it is above all a shared achievement with all of you. Many of you have been accompanying us for years, even decades. Guests have become friends, and shared dives have turned into lifelong memories. For this, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude.
We sincerely hope for your understanding regarding this decision and look forward even more to celebrating together with you in autumn – perhaps in an even more personal and memorable way than originally planned.
Until then, we wish you all the very best, good health and many wonderful moments – wherever you may be, above or below the water. We look forward to welcoming you again soon in the Maldives.
With warm regards and best wishes
Wolfgang Brak and the Diverland Team

THE DIVING CENTERS

EMBUDU VILLAGE
Embudu, the pretty Barefoot Island in the north of the South Male Atoll, has been the home base of Diverland Maldives since 1986 and is just 15 minutes from Male Airport. Directly in front of our base, the house reef invites you to dive and snorkel. The Diverland boat quickly takes you to the Embudu Channel, home to sharks, manta rays, and numerous coral reefs teeming with fish.

SUMMER ISLAND
Summer Island in the North Male Atoll is a quick speedboat ride from the airport. With a large sandy lagoon, swimming fun is guaranteed between dives. These, in turn, offer underwater adventures for both beginners and experienced aquanauts among Diverland's followers – after all, Summer Island's diving area is among the best in the entire atoll.

EQUATOR VILLAGE
"Indian Ocean" already sounds exotic in itself. The home of Diverland Gan takes it to the next level: Equator Village, located in the southernmost atoll of the Maldives—that is, in the southern hemisphere, just beyond the equator. Diving doesn't get much more exclusive than this. Giant rays at Manta Point and virtually untouched coral reefs also contribute to this. From Malé, you can conveniently take a domestic flight south.

CANAREEF
Our second dive center in the Southern Hemisphere is located on Canareef Island, also in the Addu Atoll. It is also accessible by domestic flight. Here, we also take our guests to a lively manta ray cleaning station, and they can also dive a colorfully overgrown wreck and colorful coral reefs. The remoteness of this region also contributes to its enormous abundance of fish.

HONDAAFUSHI
This somewhat different island in the Maldives boasts a roughly two-kilometer-long sandy beach with numerous bathing and swimming opportunities, and measures almost 500 meters at its widest point. The Diverland base on Hondaa also offers reefs, where diving in many places still seems as pristine as it did in the early days of Maldives travel.
