4. Evaluation and rules
The winners will be determined as follows:
• 40 percent public vote
All of these votes cast will account for 40 percent of the overall score.
• 60 percent expert jury
An independent expert jury of renowned international underwater photographers will evaluate the submitted photos according to fixed criteria, contributing 60 percent to the overall score.
• The jury's decisions are final, binding and cannot be contested in any aspect of the competition, including but not limited to the evaluation, interpretation of the rules and disqualifications.

4.1 Authorship
All copyrights and image rights must belong to the participant. 
Submitting images taken by another photographer is prohibited. The participant alone shall bear any legal consequences arising from this; Diverland Maldives cannot be held liable.
If persons are recognisable in the photos, the participant must have a model release or other consent from the recognisable person. The participant alone shall bear any legal consequences of violations of this rule; Diverland Maldives cannot be held liable for this. 
By participating, each photographer accepts all terms and conditions of participation. 

4.2 Discretion of the organiser
The organiser, Diverland Maldives, reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate any of the conditions of participation or for other reasons deemed appropriate by the organiser in order to ensure the integrity and fairness of the event. This includes concerns regarding the authenticity of the images submitted.

5. Prizes

• Category 1
Large animals underwater/Maldives:
– 1 week all-inclusive in a Superior Bungalow at Embudu Village
– Flights with Emirates Airline from/to Vienna or Munich to/from Malè
– Boat transfer Velana Airport from/to Embudu Village
– 6 days of unlimited diving, all-inclusive
• The prize is valid for one person only.
• The stay must be taken by 14 December 2026 at the latest.
• The prize is subject to availability (date) and cannot be paid out in cash.
